Sheppy’s famous Classic Draught Cider is produced in Somerset from apples grown at home on the farm at Three Bridges. A traditional blend of cider and dessert apple varieties produces this thirst-quenching sharing cider with an ABV of 5.5%.

Sheppy’s Craft Perry is made from 5 distinct perry pear varieties, including Blakeney Red, Hendre Huffcap and Red Pear. Aged for at least 6 months, it has a light, bright, refreshing taste, with a rich pear aroma, and compliments savoury dishes such as pasta, chicken and fish dishes, or is equally enjoyable as a refreshing drink on its own. Medium.

Sheppy’s Cider with Blackberry and Elderflower bottle is lightly carbonated and produced at our farm in Somerset. It is a delicious combination of dessert apple cider with blackberry juice and elderflower infusion. This artful combination captures the essence of Somerset’s sunny hedgerows. It is a crimson-red cider scented with aromatic elderflower and with the slight fruity sharpness natural to hedge blackberries.

Sheppy’s Vintage Reserve Cider is produced from entirely home-grown apples. It is a blend of one year’s harvest of the highest quality bittersweet apples such as Chisel Jersey, Yarlington Mill, Stoke Red and Tremlett’s Bitter. It is fermented and then matured in oak vats to achieve its fine, award winning full bodied flavour.

I have been producing Vintage Reserve for many years, it was one of the first recipes that my father taught me which over the years I have perfected. It’s our best-selling cider and I must say it’s got to be one of my favourites.

This is a new addition to the Sheppy’s Cider range and it’s been worth the wait. There is definitely an art to producing a high quality cloudy cider but after a few attempts and plenty of tasting we seem to have got it just right. It’s completely different to any other bottled cider we do so it’s worth a try if like me, you love the rest!
